Don:

I live 30 miles from Pimlico and it's 9 ayem and it's raining cats and dogs. At best, I think we'll have a drying, sticky track. It shouldn't bother Peg with his breeding. His Wood win was on an off-track.

It's a lousy betting race in any event. I never thought I would feel sorry for Joe DeFrancis but after two jinxed years--the power outage of two years ago and the nut case who ran onto the track last year--Pimlico does deserve better this year.

Stronach doesn't deserve anything and out of meanness I'd like to see Red Bullet run a dull race.

So just to make it interesting, I'll do a triple on Peg, Captain Steve and High Yield.

n. b. I've taken on a share of one of Dogwood's two-year-olds. The stable has had a good run this year with Trippi and Impeachment; the latter's running style might make him right for a piece of the Belmont.

Best regards

Len
