According to the third edition of the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, you were wrong twice! Hard to believe. The correct spelling is: "corpus callosum," meaning, "The arched bridge of nervous tissue that connects the two cerebral hemispheres, allowing communication between the right and left sides of the brain."
