Progress Report, Buffalo Head, Alberta
The Company has made application for 2.1 million acres of additional Metallic Mineral Exploration Permits in Alberta bringing New Claymore's gross acreage in Alberta to 11,800,000 acres. Of this new acreage, approximately 750,000 acres are located on the Buffalo Head Craton, bringing the total within the craton to approximately 6 million acres.
The Company has gramted two options for a total of 250,000 and 280,000 acres in the Buffalo Head Craton to Primero Industries Ltd. and Meteor Minerals Inc., whereby those companies may earn 50% interest in the permits by expenditures of $500,000 and $560,000 respectively. New Claymore Resources and Primero have received airborne magnetic maps from High Sense Geophysics covering their 250,000 acre block lying west of Peace River.
These data are being interpreted for drill targets. Ground work, including drilling can commence after Spring break-up in about three weeks.
An airborne magnetometer survey commenced this week on a 100%-owned permit block of 350,000 acres lying due south of the Ashton permits.
The Company is reviewing option proposals on other permit blocks in the Buffalo Head Area.
An updated map will be available on our web site Friday May 16 or a copy may be obtained from our office.
