Bera, The Saga Continues............ As I laid there all that I could think about was the sight of poor dear Bera as she disappeared from my view. I kept thinking about how close I was to her but that distance may as well have been 100 miles because there was nothing that I could have done to save her, even at that close range. That image was burned into my memory as if placed there with a hot branding iron. What if was a question that keep repeating itself over and again in my head. What if I had not cared so much about her to begin with, I wouldn't have asked her to go on the ski trip. What if I hadnt suggested that we ski the far side of the mountain which I knew was so dangerous. I should have know better. What if CISCO HADN'T LEFT HIS BLACK BAG OUT IN THE OPEN. As I laid there I just kept remembering the good times that I had with her that now seemed like a gift that was latter to be snatched from me all too quickly. Helpless, I had never felt so helpless. Like the sound of a bomb going off beside me I wondered what that huge noise could have been...........
