I am sorry about that posting to myself remark. I was thinking only about the person to whom I was responding- the comment was certainly not intended to relate to you or anyone else (with 2 or 3 exceptions). I am neither generous, nor a socialist. I like safety nets for extremely selfish reasons- social stability. I agree they could be done completely by the states- although I have reservations about that.
