Regarding the estimate of 110 PE on estimated 2001 earnings at the end of year 2000, the post also mentioned that this meant a price of $324 a share by year-end 2000.

If the author chose to use a post-Nasdaq correction valuation PE of 50 based on foward year 2001 earnings, that would mean a year-end 2000 price of $147, something I'd be happy with given the current situation - as $147 would be almost 65% above the current depressed price and the PE well in line with the growth rate going forward.
