Oooh- if you like those kind of themes you would LOVE My Son the Fanatic. I thought that was a terrific film. I haven't seen East is East yet- I don't believe it is at my local video. I haven't seen Judy Berlin yet either. I've seen almost everything out on video. I've got the gold card at blockbuster and I make sure I get my two free movies every month (by renting 5 twice a month)- and with that rent a new release get a favorites free deal I'm renting about 24 movies a month. I've found a few real gems that I missed the first time around- like Dead Man with Johnny Dep. And I've found some real schlok. I just wish our video store had a bigger foreign section. One of the best movies I have EVER seen I had to buy in order to see it. It's called The Visitors- it's French, and I think it is THE funniest movie I've ever seen. Have you seen it? The French male lead was in Ronin. It's the hilarious sendup of a nobleman from several hundred years ago who comes back to modern France, and meets his descendents. The jokes about the revolution are numerous- and as a social farce it can't be beat. Anyway, see it if you can.
