I am not sure the point of the piece posted. The debate is not, generally, over whether global warming has occurred in this century, but whether it is statistically significant, whether it is due to human agency or other things (such as solar activity), how likely is the continuation of the trend, how dire the likely results, and how drastic the measures required to be on the safe side.
I, too, am not convinced on whether the climatic changes are based on human interference or simply a rotation of changes which have occured since who knows when. But the one thing which does concern me is the hole in the ozone layer. I don't know how one would know if something like that has ever happened, and if it never has, it certainly seems to me the hole should be given quite a bit of attention as a widening of the hole certainly couldn't be a positive for human kind (and who knows what else).
I fear that the more alarmist versions of global warming propaganda will be used to hamper such progress, and thus condemn further generations to deprivation and lack of access to basic amenities,
What kinds of examples might now be in place which were not, say, 15 to 20 years ago which would be considered to fall into an alarmist category which may already be condeming further generations?
