Good grief, there is a perfectly good place here where people can write what they like. How come they feel the need to pollute a perfectly habitable place like Ramsey's clean stream where nothing but high quality potable water should be flowing?

Is it simple ignorance, exhibitionism, passive-aggressive tendencies [to use some psycho jargon], arrogance or stupidity? I suppose a combination. People seem remarkably resistant to being civilized [some do] and I suppose those are the ones who secretly love graffiti.

I don't visit Buy Range, which was taken over by obnoxious attitudes. Many obviously find it unattractive. So now they've crowded into Ramsey's attempt at civilisation, unaware perhaps that they are the very instruments of it's demise.

It looks as though SI really needs a moderation method where the moderator can ditch posts they don't want. Many, or most, or all of us at times post stuff which really comes into the category of junk. A shame to chuck the poster out with their single rotten post. That stops them learning how to post.

Well, that's my little bit on the side.

I vote for a Ramsey Su moderated thread. Make people really work for the right to post. Smack them over if they blow it. Maybe let them back in a month. Sort of like SI has terms of use, but hopefully an up-close moderator would NOT chuck out the good posters and keep the scum.
