This is the fundamental piece of misinformation which seems to drive people to investment insanity. Rambus does nothing to improve latency, which is the key factor in memory performance. Bandwidth only becomes important when the memory subsystem approaches saturation. Saturation occurs at higher bandwidths for DRDRAM and DDR than it does for SDRAM. Scumbria
