You perhaps realize by now that "liberty" is my number one issue in life. This is going to sound utterly insane but I was thrilled to be able to (in Feb at the Libertarian California convention) for the first time in my life, be able to donate to Harry Browne for Presdent the maximum $1000. I could forsee making SOOO MUCH MONEY (the way things were going) that I could help him make a real run for the office in November.
Remember I'm a drama student and was an actress (albeit in summer stock and other not very high flying places) for years, and still have a very dramatic internal psychology. It's just me.
So that's why I can dream high flying dreams.
OTOH I had enough in Jan to quit work, buy the land in Utah we're planning on, build the house with cash, and live on what Fidelity pays in interest on part of the rest. (Not even all of the rest but part of it).
So greed...yes, I guess, though I call it delusions of grandeur!!!!!!
Besides, I think Qualcomm has a fantastic future and I can see it worth many times what it is selling for. But the market can, and will, do what it likes to stock prices, regardless.
And though I was expecting a correction, I was never expecting a bear market, not in a great economy, where the Federal government is actually paying off some debt (though that is not exactly how it looks either, but that's another story.)
But I do think that the service's reasons, overextended market and interest rates rising, were simple and clear. I was going to sell any minute...or at least write dim covered calls... and I did do a few but could not get myself to do what I needed to.
So I ask you:
How did you sell the Bre-X at over $200? What in your psychological makeup or reasoning or whatever helped orpermitted you to actually take the gain?
(I was in USRX too: did we ever talk in those days? Now that when, when it changed to COMS, which I didn't like, I did take that gain. But see, I didn't like COMS so that was different.)
Oh I love what you do: gold panning for a living, no wonder you are "ole 49er"!!!!!
