I disagree, although I did not review my exact words to see that I had paraphrased Galbraith with perfect clarity. Galbraith writes: According to the ACCEPTED view... (yada yada what you said... ie the accepted view) he then goes on to discuss the need for incantation, bs, etc.. And later relates that any downturn in the market in June was relatively insignificant, stating he will discuss later in the chptr his reasoning. I don't have time to read the chapter again and frankly, after hearing that he told Pres Kenedey not to lower taxes so much as it would become too popular with the conservatives... he's a politician and a socialist and I only quote his book in hopes of breeding caution in people foolish enough to think this time is different. Because they are right, this time is different... it will be worse. Mike
