Yes, or to what extent ? It seems that amazon's revenue has less than doubled in a year, but their floor space rose ten-fold. Please don't hold me to these ratios. I am not interested enough to find out for sure. This is just an impression. And I also think they had a plan to take on Sears with appliances. Also just an impression. But anyway Sears shares crashed last year I think in response to Amazon's plans. So now Sears is up 50% from its low. So I assume the appliances plan did not materialize. By the way I did buy Sears and still have some. (as an example of how far removed my investments are from the new economy and its winners).
