crazyoldman....re:The one thing that the average investor does understand is profit, raw unadulterated profit. The average investor will soon understand AMD and soon will gladly exchange his money for your shares.

crazy...this was a good post. Dan3 had some earlier prediction of possibly $15 a share by year end. I know it somehow sounds simplistic, but I think AMD's earnings double every quarter for the year as they double production of Athlons every quarter of 2000. That would mean 1.00 (actually 1.15 or 1.05 whichever figure you use) for quarter one, 2.00 for 2nd quarter, 4.00 for 3rd quarter, and 8.00 for quarter 4. This would give you Dan3's 15.00 a share year. I think this is an attainable goal, though I don't know how taxes will possibly cut into that amount as well as further share dilution.
