Ah yes, they did indeed build out loads of networks, as did Motorola...need I say more? ;-)
Long term winner is hard to predict, but you can guess who I think will be the leader 5 years from now.
Nortel has spent some not quite inconsiderable sum to ensure that they are seen as an IP player in recent years. However, I question this strategy strongly (something I'm sure was evident in my previous post). Short-term gains are only that, we saw it with GSM and likely to see it again with WCDMA.
