Yes, I know all about Bookham, how they got all that early backing at about $1.50/share. Boy did those guys clean up. Celtic House, Intel, Cisco, and Goldman Sachs, too.

LUMM continues on, Bookham's and JDSU's day of reckoning will arrive soon enough. They better make hay while the sun shines....it ain't going to be as bright any more where they live.

It just amazes me the lengths the likes of JDSU, ETEK, and SDLI will go to to catch up. Just catch up - no consideration about passing anyone. But they have made a big pile over the years and now that their existence is threatened...well their actions are but to be expected. Buy your way out of this dilemma. Not a long term solution though, but it might get them a year or two more. There just aren't that many holy grails around.
