go right ahead "doc"... stick your head in the sand if you'd like. pharmas give doctors all sorts of perks on a regular basis (including fully paid vacations...err, i mean seminars, to resort locations. heck, i can send you the invite to the annual "fishing rodeo" in louisiana, if you'd like). if the true definition of "ignorant" is uninformed, it's a shame you are ignorant of what occurs in your own profession. and what is truly a shame is many doctors allow these perks to determine whether they would prescribe, say Zyrtec as opposed to Claritin (or vice-versa).
oh, and when i was referring to "dropping medicare patients", it was in regards to another post that stated some doctors in michigan were dropping the medicare patients altogether and forcing them to pay cash, instead. get your facts correct before you start calling someone a "liar" or ignorant.
as i've already stated, there are good and bad professionals in every industry. that includes the medical industry. to state that doctors, alone, are shouldering the entire healthcare industry is one of the most egotistical comments i've ever heard. make sure you tell that to all of those hard working occupational nurses, not to mention any of your staff members. there are also abuses throughout the system, from the bottom, on up.... including the doctors.
oh, and this is the last i plan on commenting on this subject... unless you plan on misquoting me yet another time. |
