not really...although over the past two weeks or so apparently the replacement adds weren't as big as the repos coming off. MZM and M3 growth has slowed down somewhat.

the seizing up of the securitization markets has btw. had the effect that the banks find themselves with more and more loans on their books, as they can't bundle and sell them anymore. that should slow credit creation somewhat, because of capital adequacy ratio considerations. it also means the banks will be caught with loads of dud loans on their books eventually.
