He's selling calls now, in the anticipation of buying them back cheaper sometime in the future. Could be by market close today, or it could be next week. But going short is going short. If you mean literal short-selling the shares, then no, I don't know that anyone has spoken up and said that. DK BTW, I don't get upset about people shorting a stock I'm invested in.
