Ambac I invested with no thought of selling for two years 1996-1998 and the stock doubled. Since then I've been trading it. I buy below 50, double down below 45, then sell above 55 and exit above 60. That has worked several round trips. I am changing that strategy now - I've got my position now average cost below 50 and will sell half between 55 and 60 and hold the rest for a run to 80. This one is long overdue to break to new highs given the way earnings have been growing. There's always the chance of a takeover at 75 to make the decisions much easier.
