bobby beara -- I'm also looking at the CBOE Market Stats for May 22, 2000. The headline numbers at the top don't indicate heavy put buying. However, I've calculated the following put/call ratios based on the information in today's CBOE summarized stats:

OEX = 0.9736
SPX = 1.8469
DJX = 3.1488
NDX = 1.9544
RUT = 1.4996

These put/call ratios seem to indicate heavy put buying, which would be bullish. What's your take on this? I'm I making the wrong conclusion? Am I calculating the P/C ratios wrong? What do you think?

Heinz, what do think?
