I don't know what a Buddha's mind is- I am telling you what scriptures say about it. And I don't believe in Buddha any more than anything else- but I LIKE the belief better because the Tibetan belief is that religion should NOT conflict with reason. So if I have a conflict with my reason and my belief that's OK, I don't need to disregard my reason to be a Buddhist (if I WANTED to be a Buddhist)- I don't NEED to believe anything for "salvation", and that's a nice attitude for a religion. I'm not a Buddhist, I just like their ideas a whole heck of a lot better than other religions.

Buddha's compassion was so great that he did not want to offer humans blind faith in implausible things- that blocks the experience of understanding, true understanding. The whole idea of Buddhism *from the 3rd Century* is education and reality - Matercheta (3rd C) says "Buddhas do not wash away sins with water, They do not heal suffering with laying on of hands , and They do not transmit their knowledge into other beings minds- They introduce beings to freedom by educating them about reality"

Pretty cool for a 3rd Century view. I LIKE the way They think. Plus, as a bonus, they think we came from monkeys- it's in their religion. I LIKE that too.
