Let me guess - I probably shouldn't hold my breath! <VBG>

Well Cohu went from 36 1/4 to 33 to 36 today. I really feel for all those emotional people who just simply aren't numb and as better representatives of the Human Race sold on emotion - only to observe the dip recover and close on a high volume day.

I think that scenario is as torturous as the mail man saying good morning here is your margin call letter for the day!!

Major damage going on with the Nifty Fifty - you know the sure bets: msft, csco, sunw, but yet many small/mid caps are acting bullet proof: sbse kvhi.

A lot of crosscurrents : One thing for sure : Sure things with high multiples are the kiss of death.

Short on low volume rallies seems to be the winning repeat play vs. Buy on the dips. The key difference is valuations. Not surprising - There still is a huge amount of money on the sidelines and it's playing the game on the safe side.Looking for the elusive combination of growth with value.

Hardest part is seeing no sector rotation substantial enough to provide leadership.

Is that a definition of a correction?

I still haven't seen enough damage to call it a Bear, it's bad but it's not a Bear. Still feels like a correction - no wholesale capitulation just slow grinding and therefore subject to a rally and a confirmation. JMHO
