Eric- Thanks. Now I remember GVN. It's going to allow AFC to do VoDSL(probably). It wouldn't surprise me if the former GVN was made up of ex-Paradyne employees. Both are from the same geographic area. Anyway, thanks for the reminder.

I also need to keep in mind that Tellabs owns 5% of AFCI and counts on AFCI's UMC as part of the Tellab's Cablespan product line. Cablespan is TLAB's cable telephony product. Cablespan is a rapidly growing source of sales for TLAB.

So UMC works well as an access concentrator with fixed broadband wireless and cable telephony systems. And of course, it's real claim to fame, it's use as an NGDLC for ADSL rollouts by the incumbent telcos. -MikeM(From Florida)
