09:05 ET Medtronic (MDT) 50 5/16: SG Cowen making cautious comments ahead of
Wed's earnings; expects EPS to be inline with Street's $0.26 but not to beat by a penny as
some had expected; looks for revs to be in line but pacemaker sales to be sluggish
($365-370MM), up just 2-4%; rates stock NEUTRAL. Separately, Goldman Sachs is
removing MDT from its U.S. Select List due to price appreciation and adding Guidant
(GDT); believes GDT's current share price (trading at approx. 25X our 2001 EPS est. of
$1.93) does not reflect the company's strong franchise.

Hmmm. Some selloff after earnings seems to be brewing.
