Eugene: so you and I are almost identical in our investment strategies now. :) My key shift is this:

<I have put enough money aside to live on in cd's>

(tax free munis and ginnie mae's, in my case)

I amassed my portfolio assets playing the high stakes game, but it makes no sense to jeapardize them now that I've acquired them, PARTICULARLY in this changing investment climate. Without my ongoing living funds at risk, I can lock in a portion of the remainder for LT capital gains in these volatile new economy stocks I very much believe in.
