>If anything could be more shocking than the prospect that a 6-year-old Cuban refugee
is being drugged on U.S. soil while U.S. authorities pretend to be oblivious, it's the
refusal of the American media to cover the story.<

What is shocking about medicating a kid? All the kids in my son's special ed class are medicated except my son- and sh*t, they even wanted to medicate him. Those little boys are automatons- they aren't even happy automatons. I say GIVE us those happy drugs you gave to Elian- that little American boys might be so happy. Clearly we are giving inferior drugs to OUR children.

I've got to say that this facet of the issue borders on lunacy. Firstly, parents have the right to medicate their kids if they want to. It generally isn't considered "drugging" (unless of course you've got an axe to grind- then that "drugging" word comes in handy). Secondly, we don't even KNOW the kid had any drugs. But if he DID his father and doctor had every right to give him some.
