Glenn there is 7M ppros out there so the charge of 2B is about in the right ballpark. Remember that the famous charge for pentium was 475M. But you are right for now intel is going to try to satisfy public with software patch. Martin, who corrected the original Collins post and got in all papers, thinks that if software patch is going to be general enough it might carry huge performance penalty. -Albert
