Maybe, or perhaps people feel that they have better things to do on a Sunday morning. People have their priorities.

As far as NATO is concerned, I really have to laugh out loud on that one. I doubt seriously that you could get ANY kind of traction of that subject on a broad scale. No amount of animated maps, charts, footage or talking heads would put that discussion front and center. Now maybe a war, or a disruption of oil supply, that might spark a national debate of any meaning. The sad, sorry fact is that this is an insulated country and most people just DON'T CARE about foreign affairs.

Complacency is born out of willful ignorance.
