Not funny, Fred. It violates one of the tacit boundaries we have here ... the idea that we get to be disembodied voices, exercising control about who gets access to the real person, and how.

Loss of privacy is a very real fear for Net players. I've heard some bad, BAD stories of cyber liaisons turning into real-world stalkfests. Now, we pretty much all know that with a minimum of effort any one of us can get the home phone and address of any other. Not to put too fine a point on it - mentioning it even in jest is the equivalent of waving a gun. Easy to do, but not polite.

Jmo of course. Opinions?
