Praise the Lord: that is beautiful; never have I quite heard it expressed so wonderfully.

just to delve little deeper into what it is that separates Christians, I'll list a few that come to mind ; all expressed by your quotation.

1. living up to another man's standard instead of God's standard.

2. trying to live up to one's own standard, and not being able to because it exceeds God's requirements.

3. expecting another man to live up to your standard instead of God's.

4. a doctrine of salvation by works instead of grace.

5. being interested in another's faults instead of your own.

6. unforgiveness , because we are all imperfect, as we have been discussing.

You will love this; I love the Baptists . They believe that once saved always saved. Now that is believing in grace. Amen. We pentecostals believe in back sliding, that once saved it is possible to then be lost when grace is rejected; the trouble with us pentecostals is that we not only believe in backsliding but we practice it too.........I heard an evangelist say this in a sermon once , thought it was cute. But seriously, we should be our own best critic.In Christ.gregor
