Yes, I assume there was, but please be clear that it was not me saying that, but I have heard Baptist brothers say that very thing.
Me? YES I am too judgemental. YES, I need to be more like Jesus and be able to say, neither do I condemn..Go......and sin no more.
Yet , we are called to discern. we have to be able to do that,to protect ourselves and those we love, as there is a response to God's grace. If anyone does not think so, then I would suggest they read the parable of the ten virgins. (MAtt. 25)
You talking about the older man, reminds me of my Grandmother. Isn't it wonderful how older people seem to be more forgiving, aware of our own plight, and yet able to love so freely?
