It's not a laptop; it's a tower that was put together, customized for me, by a pal at MSFT. Problem: When it started to act up, he's out there and I am here. The PC problems were dealt with relatively cheaply and the entire hard drive is backed up in case of further problems.

As for the printer, I bought a new one today--damned near killed myself getting the old sucker down the stairs. (In the midst of disc problems, I should not have made the attempt. I'll be paying for it over the next several days, you can be sure.) And damned near killed myself getting the new printer up the stairs again. Still setting the little horror up and working through the connections; still have to replace my answering machine as well.

Ain't life grand? LOL!
