(Nasdaq: PAIR - news), Tuesday announced its Board of Directors set a record date of May 8, 2000 for PairGain to vote on the acquisition of PairGain by ADC Telecommunications (Nasdaq: ADCT - news). The company and ADC Telecommunications announced on Feb. 23, 2000 that the two parties had signed a definitive agreement to merge, whereby ADC will acquire PairGain. On May 22, 2000 ADC filed Form S-4/A with the Securities and Exchange Commission. PairGain proxies will be mailed to shareholders of record on or about May 24, 2000, and the company will hold a shareholder meeting at its corporate headquarters on June 26, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. to hold the final vote.
