Re: The problem with chipset availability and the conversion to Socket A is turning out to be a much bigger problem than some thought on the thread.
I hope it doesn't cause AMD to loose its current momentum overall.


The Athlon (classic) will be coming off unfinished dies for the next few months and motherboards/chipsets are there to support these Athlons. The June announcement/release of Duron/Tbird will only increase sales (already announced to be sold out). The move to Socketed versions may or may not come with a bump or two but it will not be a derailment and the move to socket MUST be done. I don't see it being a "bigger problem" at all. Do you know something?
