Just as valid? I don't think so. The Bible is not a living document. The Bible says it's finished- you can't add to the Bible. Plus, the Bible has inspired lots of yucky stuff- historically speaking. And worst of all the Bible is reactionary- it encourages people to analyze other people's behavior and judge them (even though it says it isn't judgmental). Christianity has provided me time and time again with negative examples. Christianity (whether in perverted form or not) has shown me people who are the antithesis of what I want to be.

Buddhism is an evolving religion/philosophy. It isn't over- it seeks the truth and so can constantly evolve. There is no knowledge man cannot seek. You don't even NEED to be a Buddhist to be a Buddha- (the Tibetans even think that Christ might have been a Buddha- but that isn't universally true of all Buddhists- but there are infinite paths to enlightenment). All you need is to awaken to the great consciousness- whatever that is. NO judgements. NO hate. I LIKE. MORE valid to ME. Not that I can DO it- but it sure is NICE.

The IDEAS are more valid in Buddhism. Are they any more provable- well, that depends what you mean by provable. The Buddhists don't really ASSERT anything- their religion is open ended and set up NOT to conflict with new information. If Buddhism conflicts with reality then Buddhism will change- because it isn't SUPPOSED to conflict with reason. So I'm not sure I could ever have a logical conflict with Buddhism, I'm not sure anyone could- because the religion is set up to change with time and thought. A bit different from Christianity.
