I totally agree, take away the increase in the cost of energy and inflation is almost non-existant.

With all respect, Mr. Greenspan is a dinosaur living in a technological world. He hasn't yet realized that his archaeic Economics no longer apply. Computers have streamlined many businesses making them more efficient. We no longer need the receptionist, the secretarial pool, the assemblyline workers. Many of these jobs have been made obsolete with the arrival of the microchip. All of this technology is resulting in greater productivity at a fraction of the cost. And globalization of the markets puts further downward pressure on prices of goods we consume.

So again I ask Mr. Greenspan, where is the Inflation?
