Another company heavily involved in Libya is Swedish- Canadian firm Lundin Oil. Company senior geophysicist Stephan‚ Labont‚ said: "Perseverance pays off in Libya," and expects average operating costs to be around US $3/bbl through the life of the En Naga field, a 12-hour drive from Tripoli.

This would give Lundin internal rates of return in excess of 30% for the life of the project even at oil prices in the $10/bbl to $14/bbl range.
