hey that's not fair...I was trying, after all...thought I'd finally found a way to teach you about photonics so you could offer some thoughts on King JDSU rather than that weepyG thing you keep nattering on about...not my fault you taught them all to pick nits...

BTW, anybody who feels confident that they have indeed caught a mistake should feel free to email the author, Greg Jones, at gjones@briefing.com. Since he seems like a straight-shooter who wants to be credible, I think he'd appreciate it... BUT, before you do consider the possibility that he just worded the thing badly. If he's talking about a single photon or electron, you could be right. But if he's referrring to a bunch of them, then maybe he's just being sloppy, because if lots more photons can travel simultaneously, then a whole bunch of them will get from A to B more quickly than a comparably large bunch of electrons who have to travel more single-file, like...

Hey, don't laugh, this is the kind of stuff that keeps us editors in business...
