Just grabbed this from the last mile thread. Thought it might be relevant to your wonderment concerning 864,000 lambdas...lambdas which might fit, if I recall Jack Hartmans post of Gilder quotes correctly, in fewer than 864 fibers oneday. Is there a place for so many lambdas in PONS? And in PONS to the home? The future is certainly cloudy to this observer.
