It's a long way from over 200 to an mean of 14 or so.

What I meant by "basement" is that if one factors in stock options (as deferred compensation) in lieu of cash, the P/E ratios are 0 or negative ...

Regression to the mean still works in the long run. At this juncture, the investing public is still brainwashed in "buy-and-hold".
All I can see right now are:

1) "buyers" covering some short positions

2) "holders" who are left holding the bag. They will throw in the towel in a selling climax and form the bottom. When? is the $ 64-billion question ... The transition from virtual reality to the real world will be painful for many Goldilockers.
