CUPERTINO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 24, 2000--Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq:SYMC - news) today announced an agreement
with Tele Danmark, Denmark's largest Internet Service Provider (ISP), to protect subscribers of its Opasia Internet service from virus
attack. Under the agreement, Opasia customers will be protected by Norton AntiVirus 2000 as part of their subscription. In addition,
Opasia customers will also receive free virus updates through Symantec's LiveUpdate.

``There are a lot of viruses spreading through the Internet. They are spreading alarmingly fast and can cause serious damage in no
time. We wish to offer protection against this kind of virus attack to our customers,'' said Per B. Hansen, Tele Danmark Internet's
head of security. ``By using the free access to virus updates through LiveUpdate, our customers will have increased protection against
new viruses. After reviewing the different anti-virus products on the market, we chose Norton AntiVirus 2000 from Symantec. We
consider it one of the best on the market.''

Norton AntiVirus 2000 includes automatic scanning of incoming e-mail attachments from applications such as Microsoft Outlook and
Outlook Express, Eudora Pro/Lite, Netscape Messenger, and Netscape Mail. In addition, Norton AntiVirus 2000 is now able to

Norton AntiVirus includes a Trojan Horse detection engine to guard users against online programs that might steal passwords or
destroy data. Norton AntiVirus 2000 also features Scan and Deliver, which enables users to send suspicious files to the Symantec
AntiVirus Research Center (SARC) via the Internet for analysis and virus definitions.

The LiveUpdate feature provides users with an easy, automatic way to keep their anti-virus protection up to date. Virus definitions and
changes to the virus scanning technology are forwarded and installed automatically. Norton AntiVirus 2000 also includes Symantec's
