BTW, I wanted to remind everyone that I am not a Christian. I am a theist, but I do not subscribe to any particular sect or set of creeds, nor belong to any church, nor am I committed to any particular view of the Bible. I was originally raised as a Conservative Jew. When my parents divorced, eventually my (convert) mother went back to the Catholic Church, and I was baptized at 12, and spent my adolescence as a nominal Catholic, although I was mostly either a pantheist or atheist during that period. I became a theist in college, and spent time once again as a Conservative Jew. After college, I spent some time as a believing Catholic, but after a few years, I became too uncertain to continue.
I do, though, know a lot about the subject, and I am a sympathetic interpreter......... |
