Bill. Wow. You are posting early. You must be worried. gg.
The market does actually not look too bad right this minute. The DOW was up over 50 points, a lot less now, and the NAZ bounced back and forth between plus and minus but is down quite a bit at this time.

Of course, CNBC is still parading all the inflation worry guys on. They had Cliggot from JPMorgan on TV a little while ago. He does not know either what the bottom is but is worried about inflation. He brought up the 60's and 80's and pointed out that it took sev. years before inflation subsided after it hit a peak. I believe that was the gist of his message. He has switched to the energy sector. Just think, it took w years and we have not even seen real inflation yet. More hype than anything else.

Well, Costco must have opened up. The NAZ is tanking even further. Everybody is upset that Costco only notified a cpl of chosen brokerages and left the avg. John Doe out of the picture. That should get the SEC going.
The DOW is losing its luster also despite the USAIR story and talk about consolidation in the airline industry. Looks a bit iffy to me how they would get this deal past the DOJ. But UAL is not concentrated in the East where U roams.

There is also talk this morning that the surplus could be a lot higher for the years leading up to 2009. I guess so. At least this year should be a record surplus with a lot of investors selling out of their stocks. But maybe losses will offset the gains if this keeps up.
It was also said that maybe Bush will give some of this surplus back in taxes but who knows anymore. Maybe it will all go into areas that were left out of this boom, here and abroad. I am beginning to be left out also.

Wow. Things turned around again while I was posting. Maybe I will still have some money left before all this sell off is over.

Sonny
