Off topic --- cash ...

... Do you pay cash for big ticket items ...

With today's ever vigilant government agents looking under every rock for real or imaginary money laundering, one must be careful with the size of their cash transactions. Even if eventually proved legitimate, most people would find the inconvenience of the investigation too high a price to pay for the privacy of conducting their business in cash.

Hint: Don't buy a car for cash. Don't buy airline tickets with cash. Avoid thousand dollar bills. It's not enough to BE squeaky clean, one must also APPEAR snow white as well.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. I read recently that the most off-beat privacy nut today wouldn't even approach the privacy enjoyed by everyone as a matter of course a decade or so ago. The trend is clear.
