Quite right. I only use stop-loss orders to avoid sudden meltdowns; that way I know my maximum loss. If a stock is running up, I will put my stop order a certain percentage beneath the previous day's closing price, then go to bed with peace of mind that my profits are protected.

If SSII moves up a bit, I will put in a stop that would cover my costs. If it moves up more, my stop will be just behind the bid price in case the runup was a brief momentum play. Still waiting for the earnings report; I E-mailed the company yesterday with no reply.

Good luck.
