During a time when energy costs are skyrocketing, the only way to stop inflation is to throw the economy into a recession.

Increased energy costs result in higher costs of manufacturing, transportation, farming, travel, etc.

Does it make sense to shut down the economy in an attempt to compensate for OPEC?
