Insitu, that remedy would be irresponsible. Also, what does public release of the Windows source code really mean ? Anybody can reverse engineer windows source code from the binaries today if they want to. That is trivial for any competent programmer. So, a mere order to do that is not a problem. It wouldn't serve anybody. Now, if you force a company to give away a product for free, it will be communism...
