LBJ's despicable campaign
I'll admit that I don't think of LBJ as one who let his personal beleifs get in the way of a campaign. In his last year or two he loved to come to the U.T. football games and would wander into crowds of students to shake their hands and pat them on the back. He never quit campaigning even when there was nothing to run for.
