I have one comment about the revived interest in the discussion about LTB&H vs trading. I believe the primary reason LTB&H works is because the investor doesn't need to know when a stock will take off. There is a ton of empirical evidence showing that entire markets and individual stocks move in huge swings in relatively short periods of times. If you miss those really short periods of time, you miss out on most if not all of the profit. Being fully invested in the market and exercising LTB&H ensures the investor of being in the enviable and highly profitable position of being there when the move takes place. Trading will never, ever ensure that.

Just my belief.
